WhatsApp Integration

Connect WhatsApp by scanning a QR code — no Business API key needed.

Updated 2026-06-01

Cresivox's WhatsApp integration works by scanning a QR code (like WhatsApp Web) — no Twilio or Business API key required. Go to Integrations → WhatsApp (route /whatsapp).

Connection flow

  • 1. Open /whatsapp in the dashboard.
  • 2. Click Connect. Status changes to 'connecting'.
  • 3. A QR code appears on screen (status: 'qr').
  • 4. Open WhatsApp on your phone → Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device.
  • 5. Scan the QR code.
  • 6. Status changes to 'connected'. Your phone number is shown.

What gets sent via WhatsApp

  • Order confirmation messages.
  • Order status update notifications.
  • COD verification OTPs (if two-factor is enabled).
  • Custom broadcasts to subscribers.

WhatsApp Templates

Go to /whatsapp/templates to manage message templates. Templates define the format of automated messages (e.g., order confirmation). Customise the text and placeholders here.

⚠️Session persistence: The WhatsApp session persists on the server. If your phone's WhatsApp is unlinked (Settings → Linked Devices → Logout), the session will disconnect. Re-scan the QR code to reconnect.

Message logs

The WhatsApp page shows a log of all sent messages — recipient phone, message content, status (sent/failed), and timestamp. Failed messages show an error reason.
